James directs TVC’s, branded content, documentaries, action sports, music videos, beauty and fashion. He has shot commercial content for brands such as; Toyota, The Athlete’s Foot, Bisley Workwear, Van Heusen, Calvin Klein, Jacob's Creek, Philips and ASICS.
Working with the best technicians in the industry, James is well and truly at home on set. With a calm and personable approach, James crafts tone and pace with intent and ensures the core message of each brief is achieved with little fuss and a unique spin.
A self-proclaimed Gear Head, James has clocked thousands of hours behind the lens and obsesses over using the best equipment available to achieve a unique look. Working as camera operator / director on selected projects but is equally as excited to hand the camera to his DOP for more detailed briefs.
Collaborating with ad agencies and brands direct, James takes pride in a thorough pre-production process – communicating with creatives and his producers seamlessly to keep projects flowing smoothly and a low-stress experience for the client.
